About
Stuart Haigh is Assistant Director of the Schofield Centre and Professor of Geotechnical Engineering. He has a wide range of research interests centred around physical modelling both at 1g and utilising centrifuges and numerical modelling using both FE and MPM. His 25 years of experience in developing complex centrifuge experiments includes developing earthquake actuators, high-g robots and an in-flight Tunnel Boring Machine. He gave the Geotechnique Lecture in November 2021 on Mobilisable Strength design for Flexible Retaining Walls.
