Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group

Students from Aachen, Germany visited the Schofield Centrifuge Centre

On Friday 21 February, we welcomed a group of students from Aachen in Germany to the Schofield Centrifuge Centre. The Language Exchange students seem to enjoy this event a lot and it may even become a regular item on the agenda.

One of our Research Associates - Dr. Domenico Gaudio welcomed the group and took them on the tour of the centre. He presented the 10m Beam Centrifuge, Minidrum and talked about some of our current research projects. Our PhD Research Students - Geoff Eicchorn and Deryck Chan have also presented their projects. Visitors were truly impressed and we received some great feedback. It is always a pleasure for our researchers to share their passion and inspire younger generations. Well done and big thank you to Domenico, Geoff and Deryck!
