Congratulations to Raz Jabary, a PhD student in the Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Gopal Madabhushi, for winning the Student of the Year Award as part of the Most Successful Kurds Awards 2016.
Raz received the award on 15th March 2016 from Natalie McGarry MP at the UK Houses of Parliament. The award ceremony was preceded by talks from several distinguished speakers, most notably the leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn MP. Upon receiving the news, many notables - including the Kurdish government's representative to the United States - congratulated Raz on the win.
