Srikanth Madabhushi receives the Philip Turner Prize 2017

Philip Turner was an outstanding mechanical engineer who designed a wide range of innovative devices. He made major formative contributions to the design of geotechnical centrifuges for the Schofield Centre. He was a design engineer in the Department of Engineering for many years and when he died he bequeathed in his will a prize to be awarded annually for "outstanding work in geotechnical centrifuge testing conducted by a research student working at the Schofield Centre in Cambridge".

Dr Stuart Haigh, Acting Director of Schofield Centrifuge Centre, presented the prize to Srikanth on Friday 6 October.
