The Schofield Centre is pleased to welcome Dr Jim Hambleton as Associate Professor in Soil Mechanics & Geotechnical Engineering. Dr Hambleton holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, MSc in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering (University of Minnesota). The focal point of his work will be the understanding of how soils are moved and shaped through interaction with objects and machinery. He is interested in construction robotics and computerisation/automation in architecture, engineering, and construction.
