Yu Jiang

Current research 

Yu is currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, working with Prof Abir Al-Tabbaa and Dr Ronan Daly. He has joined the Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group since 2020. He is devoted to the technology development and commercialisation of 3D printing of building structures. He is currently studying the formulation design of 3D printable smart cement ink and processing parameter control.

Dr Benyi Cao

Research Associate in the Department of Engineering, working on the development of innovative and efficient ground improvement approaches for geothermal applications as part of the £1.6M EPSRC-funded project SaFEGround. The project aims to provide a pathway for decarbonising both heating and cooling with the deployment of safe, flexible and efficient ground-source energy systems.

Dr Chuhan Deng

After completing his MEng (Tianjin University) and BEng (Tongji University) in Geotechnical Engineering (both with Distinction) in China, Chuhan Deng completed PhD research on experimental soil mechanics and retaining structure design at Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2020, followed by postdoctoral research on environmentally-friendly urban underground space creation and offshore wind turbine foundations at Cambridge.
