Biography:
Echo graduated with Bachelor degree from China University of Geosciences, 2004 and obtained MEng in geotechnical engineering, S/Korea, 2006. She spent two years in researching atmospheric science in Switzerland, and worked with Cementation Skanska for one year before join the geotechnical research group in Cambridge, 2009.
Under the sponsorship from Skanska and Cambridge Overseas Trust, Echo is reading engineering at St Johns College and her research is supervised by Prof. Kenichi Soga.

Echo’s research is focussed on studying:
- Geotechnical performance of energy piles
- Interaction between soil and energy foundations elements.
- Numerical analysis of energy pile groups.
- Fibre optic sensing technology.
