Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group

Research Associate in the Department of Engineering, working on the development of innovative and efficient ground improvement approaches for geothermal applications as part of the £1.6M EPSRC-funded project SaFEGround. The project aims to provide a pathway for decarbonising both heating and cooling with the deployment of safe, flexible and efficient ground-source energy systems.

Biography

I obtained a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering from Tongji University working on multiphase flow in bioreactor landfills. In 2017, I joined Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group at Cambridge University as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Al-Tabbaa. My PhD programme was part of an EPSRC-funded project RM4L on crack-resistant and self-healing cut-off wall materials incorporating microcapsules, superabsorbent polymers, MgO pellets and oil sorbents for Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental applications.
