Research Interests
The research is scope is about Methane hydrate extraction processes. In order to do numerical simulation of the process, the geomechanical behaviour of the unconsolidated sediment in the deep water during the production test need to be investigated. The first offshore production test from Methane Hydrate in the Eastern Nankai Trough off the Pacific coast of the Central Japan is planned by JOGMEC.
